Three Poems
The Garden

not least a refuge
this possible place          surfaces undulate
where one might              jasmine white flowers
cultivate at random          dot multiple paths
                             this home patch
the crisp cordyline
dominates a corner           each moment spent
deceptive how much           feeble reflection
clings to life               the way sun catches
                             the way words hang
soft embryos sag
heavy rain passes
sunk with barely
a rough furrow

The Hunted

Hunted down
    and brought
    to earth

refuse to see
    the blood
    on the sand

Pursued into
    old age
    exhaustion

The moon wide
    quiet clouds
    with willows

Snatched breath
    and a view
    of the stars

Installation

still silent
examine this
bone house
cage rattle

slow dread
projected image
soundless approach
unable to breathe

step one step
two step towards
rooted reflection
still silent

unable to breathe
how it begins
or ends even
slow dread

examine this
spine shiver
possession of
bone house

features change
still silent
another face
stares back

cage rattle
a living thing
emerges from
soundless approach

how it begins
how it passes
rooted reflection
projected image
